Founded in 1974, Creekside Nursery and Garden Centre is the result of generations of passion, perseverance, and a deep connection to the horticultural industry—now proudly spanning four generations of the Trevisanutto family.
The journey began with Dennis Trevisanutto Sr., alongside his father Buck Trevisanutto and his wife Louise Trevisanutto. With little more than determination and a love for growing, they built the business from the ground up—starting in a modest 24’ x 48’ wooden-frame greenhouse measuring just 1,052 square feet. What followed was steady, intentional growth. One greenhouse became five, and in 1981, a major expansion added 38,000 square feet of greenhouse space. Over the next nine years, two additional expansions brought the total to 100,000 square feet, firmly establishing the business as a cornerstone of the local horticultural community.
In 1996, the legacy continued with Dennis Trevisanutto Jr., who, after years of valuable industry experience, chose to carve out his own path in the greenhouse business. Guided by the same values he grew up with, Dennis Jr. started small—just as his father had—launching his own greenhouse operation from his backyard. With the support of his wife Susan Trevisanutto, and close friends Delbert and Sylvia Archer, the business grew steadily through hard work, trust, and shared commitment, further strengthening the family’s presence in the industry.
Today, the legacy is carried forward by Sean Trevisanutto, the current owner and President of Creekside Nursery and Garden Centre. Sean grew up immersed in the greenhouse business, learning firsthand what it takes to build something lasting. Like the generations before him, Sean chose to start on his own. Right out of high school, he pursued a career as an electrician, gaining valuable skills and work ethic—but his passion for horticulture ultimately brought him back to his roots.
In 2011, with the support and help from his wife Amanda Trevisanutto, Sean founded Trevisanutto’s Landscape & Design. Through long days, hands-on work, and a clear vision, he steadily grew the company. In 2016, Sean officially joined forces with his father, transforming Trevisanuttos Greenhouse into a full-service nursery and landscaping company, offering both plant expertise and comprehensive outdoor solutions.
A major milestone came in 2019, when Sean and his father purchased Creekside Nursery from Dennis Trevisanutto Sr., bringing the story full circle. Under Sean’s leadership, the business has continued to grow and evolve. Today, Creekside Nursery and Garden Centre encompasses approximately 150,000 square feet of greenhouse space, employs up to 50 seasonal workers and 10 full-time staff, and offers both softscaping and hardscaping landscaping services throughout Northwestern Ontario.
From a single wooden greenhouse to a full-service nursery and landscaping company, Creekside’s story is one of resilience, family, and growth—rooted in tradition and driven by the next generation’s vision 🌱
